About
I’m Jeremy, and I live in Grenoble — right in the middle of the French Alps. I trail run, hike, ride bikes, and generally spend as much time as I can in the mountains. This site is where I write about it.
The name
Toposfyr is a play on “topos” — the French word for route guides, widely used by hikers, climbers, and trail runners — and “toposphere.” I liked how it sounded.
What’s here
Each post is a write-up of something I’ve done — a multi-day trail race, a long hike, a ride. I try to include the things I’d want to know if I were planning the same route: how it actually went, what the terrain was like, where it got hard. There are stats, elevation profiles, GPX files you can download, and photos.
It’s not a social platform and there’s no algorithm deciding what you see. Just honest write-ups of real outings. If something here helps you plan your next one, that’s the best outcome.
